There are a variety of healing modalities that work with the energy field of the body. Acupuncture, Yoga, Reiki and Qi Gong are some of the most familiar here in North America. So called “Alternative medicine” had its beginnings over five thousand years ago. And it was not the “alternative” but the healing approach of its time. Allopathic medicine is what people in our modern western culture think of as medicine. You may hear the phrase “complementary medicine” in place of or alongside “alternative healing”. Our western thinking is becoming more inclusive as to what constitutes a legitimate healing modality.
All forms of life have an energy field within them and extending outside of their physical of the boundaries. Energy healing is a variety of practices that influence the flow of energy in the body. My practice uses Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique or B.E.S.T.. B.E.S.T. is a powerful, gentle, light-touch form of energy balancing in the body. Several distinguishing characteristics of B.E.S.T. : it is a comprehensive or holistic approach to health, meaning that it is not a symptom based (“fix my arm”) treatment. B.E.S.T. addresses the underlying cause of the imbalance and its goal is the full functioning of all the systems of the body. Arms are very likely to be “fixed” as a result, of course. “
We all have the power to choose whether to put health supporting or health harming content into our energy field. B.E.S.T. Practitioners know that the two greatest influences on our health are: What We Eat and What We Think. Of these, what we think has the greatest influence on our energetic balance and our health. Our minds are powerful and we are best served by setting our intentions on experiencing life from a positive perspective, even in the face of perceived set-backs or disappointments.
Another unique aspect of B.E.S.T is the importance on healing from within. During a B.E.S.T. session, the balancing is done by the client under guidance from the practitioner. The importance of healing from within: the body is strengthened from within, without reliance on external forces outside the body.
